Cellular Honeycomb Shades in Miami Home
We installed custom cellular honeycomb shades in this Miami home, including a multi-angle window area and glass double doors. Each shade was fitted to its individual opening for a clean, consistent look throughout the space.

Project overview
This real completed residential installation in Miami covers a bay / angled window area and a set of glass double doors with custom cellular honeycomb shades. Each shade was made to its individual opening so the finished room reads as one consistent treatment rather than a mix of coverings.
The photographs show the completed installation from both areas: the multi-angle window arrangement and the double doors, with every shade seated inside its frame.
The challenge at this property
The bay / angled window configuration means no two openings sit in the same plane. Each shade had to be measured and fitted to its own angle so the headrails line up cleanly across the arrangement without gaps at the joints.

Why cellular (honeycomb) shades for this installation
Cellular honeycomb shades suit Miami homes because their honeycomb-shaped pockets trap air between the glass and the room, slowing heat transfer at the window in a climate where the AC runs most of the year.
The single clean fabric panel also keeps the look simple across different opening types — the same shade style works on the angled bay windows and on the glass double doors without visually competing with the room.
Cellular (honeycomb) shades are made of pleated cells that trap a layer of air between the room and the glass, which is why they are commonly specified where thermal performance matters. The cell structure also collapses into a small stack at the head rail.
They are available in light-filtering and blackout fabrics, and the flat front face keeps a quiet, uniform look across a row of windows.
Fabric, colour and finish
The fabric is a neutral warm tone that coordinates with the white trim and moulding visible around the openings in both photographs.
