Roman Shades in Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale

A roman shade is a fabric panel that draws up into soft horizontal folds, giving a window the presence of drapery without the width or the floor space. We build them to the exact opening in performance fabrics and faux linens that hold their shape in South Florida humidity, with privacy or blackout lining where the room needs it.

Why homeowners choose our roman shades

  • Flat fold, hobbled and relaxed styles, fabricated to the exact opening
  • Performance blends and faux linens chosen for humidity and strong sun
  • Privacy or blackout lining, with outside mount and overlap where darkness matters
  • Cordless lift as standard; motorization available on constructions that support it

Roman Shades — questions we get asked

What is the difference between flat fold, hobbled and relaxed roman shades?
A flat fold roman is tailored and modern with clean horizontal folds. A hobbled roman keeps soft cascading loops even when lowered, which reads more traditional. A relaxed roman has a gentle smile curve at the bottom and suits coastal interiors. We show all three at the measure so you can see them against your own fabric.
Can roman shades block out the light completely?
With a blackout lining they get very close, but a roman always has a soft edge, so an inside mount lets some light past the sides. Where the room must be fully dark we recommend an outside mount with overlap, or a blackout roller behind the roman.
Can roman shades be motorized?
Motorization is available on many roman constructions and is worth considering on tall windows or heavy fabrics. Fabric weight and shade size decide what is practical, so we confirm the option against the exact fabric you choose rather than promising it upfront.
